Improv For KIDS!
(Ages 9-13)
Improv is one of the basic skills any performer should have. Built for kids between 9 and 13 our Kid's Improv Class not only promotes teamwork, creativity, confidence, and an understanding of story structure - it does it a fun and interesting way. Kids learn by playing and are always successful. Perfect for a young performer wanting to hone their spontaneity for auditions and character development, but also for the kid who just wants to goof around and less outgoing kids who need a safe environment to in which to develop. Everyone has a good time during the final performance for family and friends.

Acting &Play Creation
(Ages 8-12)
What makes a play? Lots of things. Let's see... there's characters, conflict, setting, objectives and, of course, a playwright. In the Acting & Play-Creation classes students are the playwrights. They write, rehearse and perform their own original scripts. Using a piece of classic literature as a model, as well as improv and drama games for inspiration, students form groups and develop ideas for their own original plays. In the past we’ve turned The Odyssey into a quest for a stinky rotten egg. The Elves and the Shoemaker inspired a Soap Opera about a sheep with wool cancer. We’ve even shot Britney Spears out of a cannon to stop evil flying toasters from Mars! Kids have a great time seeing their very own creations come to life and also learn valuable stage skills: projection, enunciation, blocking and rehearsal techniques, ensemble work, character creation, and much more. It’s fun, educational and the teachers do all the typing!!
